Say What?
So I heard about this selvage pillow thing and I thought it was a great idea. “How cute” I thought, “a giant selvage!” Oh the embarassment when I found out that the “selvage Pillow” was actually a pillow made out of selvages and not a giant smooshy cartoon version of itself. By this time it was much too late and the deed was done. How could I tell my new little friend that it was not like the others? Like all good parents I decided to ignore it’s deformity and pretend that everything was okay. I tell it how lovely it is and that the other kids are just jealous when it gets made fun of for being, you know, different. For real though, denial is the spice of life.
This pillow ended up being exactly the length of my couch, about 65 inches which also makes it a good dance partner when no one is around and the mood strikes me.

Oh, I love your version!
Hmmm. I am still not sure what exactly a traditional selvage pillow is, but I like your iteration. Just got myself some Flutterby and am excited to create something with it soon. It is gorgeous “in person.”
Well, this just proves it…you’re brilliant!
I LOVE your version of the selvage pillow. I’m hunting around (googling) for who has the best selection of Tula Pink…I’m getting ready to decorate my pending niece’s nursery and I need all the pink and brown and green TP patterns I can find! I googled TP and came across your blog, and had to leave a comment! Have a great week.

Looks cute!
This is exactly what I have always said…and loved about you. You see the world in a way that only the rest of us can envy. I love you soooooooo much.
You are a nut. Certifiable. But I LOVE it!!!!!!! How much fun you are! The best part is that I think you are as amused by yourself as we are. I was just introduced to your work through a bag obsession I fell into about 48 hours ago, and now I’ve acquired enough yardage to start my own Tula Pink retail outlet, or so it will seem when all those packages arrive!!! Must run, the men are coming to put me in a straightjacket…see you in the institution!! (Do they have a sewing room there?)
Your version makes me wish I had a window with a draft. Maybe I will just pretend that the window in my sewing room has a draft as an excuse for making my very own “selvege pillow.”
I love this!
