Tula Pink, a love story…

pink_speaks.jpg

That’s right kids, I speak! I am fluent in both English and Ebonics but I will mostly be sticking to English for this one. Can you imagine, a whole hour of me talking about myself! I will be discussing my glamorous career path to fabric design. I expect it will be enthralling so please come. It will be very sad if my mom is the only attendee (not to mention boring because she already knows all of this stuff). Besides, it’s free! Who doesn’t love free?

Oh, so cool! I would totally come if I didn’t live in Toronto…you know as in Canada. Have a great time, I’m sure lots of people will be there!

  5. MelissaS Says:

If I was in the area I would definitely come by, see you speak, work up the nerve to introduce myself, and then act like a star struck groupie when you talked to me. :)

    Break a leg!

And as another aside have you ever thought about doing a lecture via Skype and/or WebEx. Just an idea I’m working on for my guild’s programs.

  6. Allie Says:

I wish I could be there!

  7. Shea Says:

Can I be the first to say that I think I WILL be there? If Richie and I bring Graham, do you promise not to be upset if he sleeps through the entire thing? :)

  8. tula pink Says:

OMG! Shea!!! I was going to call you you and ask you to come but I wasn’t sure if you were all bogged down with babies or not. Yay! And yes, Graham can sleep through it, I would be honored.

  9. Shea Says:

Just talked to Richie and ran the idea by him. He gave a VERY enthusiastic “Let’s go!”
I think that we will also have to stay for a meal at one of our favorite places to eat on good old Pine Street. You and your posse should join in if you can!
    See you in The ‘Burg!

  20. KELLY Says:

Stopped by your “home store” on Saturday evening while we were “driving by” on out way back to Omaha. What a treat to meet your mom. She is SO proud of you- her face just beams when she talks about you. Love that. I was lucky enough to win the kit to make the quilt from the store’s feature in the bh&g magazine. I can’t wait to get to work on it. Hope your talk went well… ;)

  21. Jake Reese Says:

    Oh. My. God.

I absolutely fell in love with your stuff when you came to UCM.
I was the Interior Design boy chillin’ in the middle, totally in awe by your fantastic designs.

I love textiles and textures, and my soul was filled with joy when I saw your designs! The Neptune line was probably my favorite though… (I have always loved ocean themes.) It was totally great!

Thank you so much for coming and showing us your designs!

  22. Pam Matthews Says:

Crap, I missed it. I totally suck at this stalking thing. Damn, F#*k me. I WILL do better, I WILL!!!

  23. Carla Prael Says:

  24. Lucy Says:

Well….??? how did this go??? I wish I lived close so I could have attended! I’m sure you did great! You are very witty and fun to listen to so I’m sure you ROCKED! Ok, didn’t see you at market, but I did run into your Mom at a little jewelry booth! She was darling!
Anyhow, I’m glad you are doing more public speaking! I hope you or someone recorded this event, and I think you should post some for all to hear!

take care! I’ll check on you again later! ;)
